This one came in a four-pack with the predecessor. It is definitely the better of the two: the promised flowery notes were noticeable.

A new roaster with a fun twist: it is run by a Guatemalan and roasts only Guatemalan coffee. We discovered it in one of our local cafes. The quality to price ratio is decent, but only if you buy the discounted four-packs. As for the taste, it made a comfortable everyday coffee. Also, Venecia is a varietal we haven’t encountered before.

A complex taste profile that required dedicated time to appreciate. Drinking it mindlessly while doing something else felt wasteful. A reminder that high-quality coffee deserves dedicated attention.

Lesson learned about “omniroast”: too dark for filter, too light for espresso. You should probably choose coffee tailored to your specific expectations.
